when teens have poor body image,we feel trapped in your own world. we may get the feeling that "im ugly" and "im too fat" and we dont seem to find a way to be untrapped. body image is what teens think about themselves, how we act,our friend choices and our culture. we may dislike our body for lots of reasons, if were looking at a magazine and we see very thin people some may want to immmediately lose weight or bad moods when some one calls you ugly or fat and that may make you feel bad about your body. In the late 1900s Dr,David Gardern (body image researcher) did a survey on more than three thousand women from ages 13 to 90. He found that more than 62% between the ages 13 an 19 feels insecure about their body. 89% wanted to lose weight and 24% said that they'd sacrifice more than three years of their lives to be at the weight they wanted. teens with poor body images feel self-conscious about themselve and relationships. good ways for teens to feel good about ourselves is to look and the mirror every day and say im beautiful,im smart, strong and good. we could also eat healthier and saying you love your self everyday, and respecting your body.
